                                Another Day Over

Another second in time,    Another few emotions to mime,
Another second older,    Another winter bolder,

Another hour to the fore,    Another bit a bore,
Another hour older,     Another Winter the holder,

Another day more brave,    Another nearer the grave,
Another day older,    Another Winter over,

Another Week spent,    Another meek repent,
Another week older,    Another winter colder,

Another Year here,    Another few gallons of beer,
Another year older,    Another Winter a Soldier.

       Inner Space

When you feel out of touch,
and the pressure's just too much,

Tear away from the rat race,
Take a trip to inner space,

In the corner of you mind,
        Far, far from human kind,

A place always you can claim,
So unique and yet rarely the same,

        Wherein exist your own creations,
        Castles, kingdoms or even constellations,

        Exploring each and every temptation,
        Guided only by impulsive imagination,

A trip through Amazonia, a climb in Manchuria,
A swim in Lake Geneva or a flight across the Sahara,

        Master of your own destiny,
        Your memories the only testimony,

        King of your own domain,
With your very own Paladins of Charlemagne.

Dublin Mountains

Seahan and Corrig stand above, locked in each others embrace,
Amidst mountain mist and haze,
While Ballymorfin and Slievenabawnoge sit and stare
in never ending obedience to their masters
And the latent beast, Knockenavea, observes from the distance,
as the reservoir lies below--like a vast gateway into another world
Performing its sole task,
its purpose, to allow these mighty children of nature
to look and admire of themselves,
for how in heaven or earth could they even fathom their existence
Save for this silvery mirror sprawled across their feet.
